ՒHPAKΛEIΩN Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet decorated with a winged hippocamp on the bowl; behind, ՒH. Rev. Herakles standing front, head to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and club and lion's skin in his left; to right, thunderbolt. HN Italy 1435 var. (altar on the reverse). Van Keuren 138 var. (altar on the reverse). A rare variety. Very fine.
